"such things?" Such things as what? What category are they in?

If you reject the idea of being reasonably sure of getting away with something, how does anyone get away with a crime? Can we attribute all crime statistics to Dumb Luck? I rather doubt it.

Interesting example, the stop sign. You provide a clear example, specifiying that you have extremely good visibility, i like that. You stop, you say, because you still can't be "reasonably" certain no one is around.

Why do you drive at all?

I don't believe that you really subscribe to the definition of "reason" that you are putting forth in an attempt to deflect the argument, sorry. *bzzt* thank you for playing, though.
