Well, thanks for helping to debunk that whole American arrogance thing. adiplomat is clearly well-named and got to the heart of the actual matter. I took his meaning - and lo! some mental effort was required as well as an open mind! - to be more along the lines of, "I'm not comparing that stupidly arrogant Bush with a determinedly evil Hitler, but what if the US becomes a hedgemonizing swarm that galvanizes other nations into allying themselves against it?"
