Ya the 7100 sucked, though I think the 8500/9500's were also horrid little machines, hell the 840/8100's fo that matter or were those the same case design don't remember now... Anyway that period had some nasty things comming out of apple in the way of case design; thankfully they fixed it with the x6XX series. I remember when i built m first pc I had scraped knuckles from the case. I didn't realiwe this was not normal until I got a case with rolled edges, so much nicer! Oh and I was doing an applcare repair at the time when I disected the imac, though ahve you ever seen one of the original ibooks apart, it aint preaty either...
