  Use the Character Mapper by vmanuel 2002-12-27 06:18:48
In WinX, there's a program called Character Map. You can find its equivalent in Word or whatever GUI editor you use.
Use the program to find the character you're looking for. Then look for the 'alt' code that tells you how to create that same character in DOS or most Edit boxes!
For instance, { is <ALT + 0123>.
