...that the US (and the rest of the world, including down here -Mexico-) are just a little bit paranoid about who has the rights and who doesn't to have nuclear and otherwise weapons.

France has nuclear weapons, AFAIK, as well as Pakistan and India. The US obviously has (as well as biochemical). The thing here is: Is the world in danger because of that? Are we safer just because there is a "Big Brother" out there? My answer: Yes, it's in danger, and no, we're no safer, but if we survived the cold war and the missile crisis (Pig Bay), are we more or less in danger than then?

That's, of course, only my humble opinion. I just hope I don't receive lots of flames :^).
