...and the frivolous presents stop. No more toys, all you get is clothes (sensible ones) and kitchen things. It's quite depressing, and something I'm trying to avoid. This year I bought several things (boots and shoes and suchlike) that I didn't mention because a) I forgot about them b) I forgot about them because I bought them and then gave them back to be wrapped.
