the US's policies, but then who agree's with all of their governments policies, if there was a country that all of their population agreed with their policies, they would be the best nation in the world.
As far as our interventions, I do agree that we should try to help more countries around the world, and hopefully by using less force. But we have helped other countries that do not have Oil Reserves.
Unfortunaetly, yes the US Gov't is rather single track minded. I do not believe we would invade Iraq without at least the support from the UN Security Council Core members, or at least our close national friends, however I do not believe the invaision of Iriaq should happen without more proof/proof of reason to invade. I believe that some of america is still stung and looking for some nation to "hit" because of 9-11, however I hope that they calm down before too much happens.
As far as Human Rights I understand your concearns, I am not someone, along with about 30-40% of the US depending on which poll you follow, that believes in the death penalty. As far as the rights of the Child Convention, we did not sign it, but we have shown our love of life, and as far as the countries that did, some of those have shown that even children don't matter to their political endeavors.
I agree on 4, I would like to see more information on the alegations before we even think of doing anything militarily.
