I don't think you've done the math properly. A generous allowance for an MP3 is 5MB. A GB is 1000 MB, therefore you could fit 1000/5, or 200 MP3s on one GB. For a 20GB iPod, you're talking 4000! Even if every MP3 you own is a symphony in length (say 20 MB), you can fit 1000 of those!
