I have a Philisophical Question for all..... by Sir Lox Elroy2002-12-27 01:32:15
Hatred? No. by thecorellian 2002-12-27 02:12:35
But consider this:
President Bush refused to sign the treaty at the conference in Tokyo some time ago, because the costs of the american industry would have increased. Other nations signed and accepted the responsibility mankind has for our environment.

A few weeks ago there was the conference of the EU where they discussed whether and when Turkey (besides some other states) should join this community. President Bush tried to meddle to force the initiation of Turkey. That's nothing the american government has to deal with.

And the US helping Kuwait - would they have done it, if Kuwait wasn't an important supplier of crude oil?

To me it seems as if the US always tries to form the whole world in a shape they think is best for everyone (but mostly themselves). And when something goes wrong, like in Afghanistan, they call for assistance to stop the "evildoers". (As far as I know, the Taliban fighters that now form the Al'Qaida were paid and trained by the US when Afghanistan was under control of Russia.)

I don't hate the US but their political ways annoy me and there are many others who think similar.
