Upgrade Progress by LooseChanj 2002-12-27 01:20:53
Ok, so I learned that it helps to plug the IDE cables back in when you want to detect your new drives. It also explains why all 4 IDE devices came up "not installed". Proud new owner of alot more drive space! :-) The ram was giving me fits. I *think* the problem is my middle dimm slot...I've put the new 256 meg stick into slot 3, and left slot 2 empty. Coming up on an hour uptime, so I have my fingers crossed. 512 is better than 640 and freezes! And the 128 can go into my OBSD box to replace a pair of 32 meg simms...but am I ready to sacrifice the uptime for what I *know* will be a PITA job?
