Bravo! The following are personal opinions, not hard facts:

Genuine stupidity is an inability to learn, and as such is something predetermined (i.e. genetic or perhaps irrepairable damage). The stupid should be assisted.

Ignorance is a vile condition none should have to exist in with reference to any useful and non-harmful information. The ignorant should be offered education.

Willful ignorance is what most people refer to when using "stupidity". It is the bane of mankind. Were I to offer a readily percieved (even indirectly) equivalent for the devil or some such, that would be it! The willfully ignorant should be shown the error of their ways gently the first time. Should they fail to seek education, they should be LARTed with the finest and greatest industrial strength LART available! After said LARTing they should likely now fit into the first category discussed.
