While I don't agree with everything written in that article he does bring up some interesting points. Namely : Why were the Phase III trials stopped so early? And where is the indisputable data connecting HIV to AIDS? The leap from those questions to "AIDS is not sexaully transmitted" is just a tad absurd to me. AIDS seems to be transmitted via any exchange of bodily fluids therefore while it is not solely transmitted via sexual intercourse, that is one viable exchange of bodily fluids that could spread the disease. The link that xcheopis found showing that two separate strains of HIV were found simultaneously has some interesting results. The scientists could not get both strains to infect the same cell and hypothesized that each strain is infecting only certain cells. Assuming the current theory is right (HIV causes AIDS) it could be theorized that HIV doesn't cause it immediately because the antibodies might actually be working until the HIV virus mutates enough to attack the host. That could explain the drastic variations in "incubation" periods. Of course there's always the possibility that the host body keeps creating different antibodies in the hopes that one of them will be effective against the HIV, but eventually the immune system creates one that attacks the hosts own cells.
