I've heard the conditions at such places can actually be extremely nice. However, it would of been impossible at the beginning to find everyone in every country with the disease. Now the only hope is for the uninfected to protect themselves and just let the infected pass on. Remember, most children born to HIV positive mothers don't have the disease.
