to the World League? I don't think so.

The Premiership is in exactly the same position as Baseball/Basketball. The majority of players in the league are foreign nationals and they all come here because of the money they can earn. The majority of the club supporters aren't from their city, in the case of the big clubs, the majority of supporters aren't even British. Any sporting team's identity is firmly tied to the city they're based in, not to the nationality of their players. If you were a Red Sox follower and their entire squad transferred to Atlanta, would you suddenly become a Braves follower? No. To claim a team is international simply because it has foreign nationals playing for it is misleading at best. To claim that the series they all compete in is representative of the world when the teams are all based in one country and the only international part is the player's nationalities is just plain wrong.
