How much of a shift over time was the border between north and south? I wonder as the town named after my fathers family is technically in the south though in an area not so far from the border. I think the Abbe there is catholic because one family member converted and one of his children became a priest. Afik the rest stayed protestant in that side of my family.<shrug>
