A question to irish Ufies by Arienadean2002-12-01 01:01:59
Try the link below. It gives a fair overview. by adiplomat2006-11-19 12:55:59
thanks that explains alot by Arienadean 2002-12-01 01:50:39
Hmm looking at the family history page combined with that link explains a bit. One ancestory though born into a protestant family his father married and converted to catholic. Then his fahter fought on william of oranges side all the same. Later he died at 62 as a priest administering to napoleon's men when he became ill with what they were dying of. The original settlers apprently got their land granted them by King James I. Rest of my family save for that one branch stayed protestant from what I can tell on my dads side. With my moms family it explains alot considering the time period of which they left ireland as well.

Still though feels weird raised in a modern enough family in a new land and they still try to pass along those wierd(to me) rules. Anyone else here with irish in them whose family has the same sort of rule?
