I can't begin to tell you how many of my horse crash's were from my equine deciding that the booger in the bushes was terrifying. Most the time I don't fall on my head. I did as a kid, but as an adult I have learned how to fall on my shoulder or side (if I can help it anyway). I worry more about getting hit in the head by hooves as the horse takes off in the other direction than from the ground (hence getting into a fetal position as soon as I hit the ground)
