Replace all damaged gear. The helmet should be replaced more than likely. Surprised the deale is doing the check since normally it needs to be sent to the factory. Best practice is to replace it if you donked it hard enough.
I haven't spille don my bikes in the last 3 years, but my first 2 years i hit all the hazards they warn you about ( leaves, loose sand, ice ( frozen pothole yeah i ride in the winter), and most unbelieveably a smaller than dime sized oil drop ) thankfully all happened at less than 10mph.
You may want to consider an application in this club. It is good reading in any case...
