Here in Georgia it is the law. When I was in Colorado, they didn't require it and it was strange to see folks not wearing them.

Course, I guess I can understand. I absolutely detest wearing a helmet when I ride my horse. After the umpteenth concussion, you would think I would have learned my lesson by now.
