What yuou all seem determined to ignore by flamebait 2002-11-12 11:20:39
is that, from the very beginning, I have been stating that any officer who breaks the law should be punished for doing so. Coersion is illegal, illegal search and seizure is illegal, violating a prisoner's rights to force a confession is illegal. Any cop who violates the law should be held accountable.

Don't reward a criminal when a cop messes up, punish the cop. Throwing out evidence rewards the criminal for the cop's error, while having little effect on the cop.
