| however, they killed far more civillians in Afghanistan than were killed in the World Trade Towers attacks. Last I heard, at least. Of course, no one is really counting the dead there since all the killing is done in the fight against terrorism . . .
I'm not saying that they deliberately targeted civilians (although I did hear one US military guy essentially say that once. I'll assume he was just ... confused); however, the fact is that the US just like any other offensive army has caused civilian casualties and terror in civilian populations. It's a war tactic. Sad but true.
I think we should think about all people who live in terror on all sides of all wars today, too. Not just the military people. |
