If you as a jury are going to convict it is your duty to disregard any evidence which has the possibility of being tainted.
Close, but not quite. It is the jury's duty to disregard any evidence it deems to be questionable or tainted. All evidence has the possibility of being tainted, but that determination is part of what the trial is about.

By this mark the merest hint that the evidence was incorrectly obtained must lead to a not guilty verdict.
Why? How the evidence was obtained is irrelevant unless it was manufactured. By your assertion, all criminals would be released because defense lawyers would just have to claim, with the merest hint of credibility, that the evidence was tainted somehow. Such claims are relatively easy to make if you only need to prove a hint of a possibility.

I should have started this sooner. I have to go now, but this has been fun. Think on it. I may bring this up again some time.
