Question of the Day! by kickstart2006-11-19 12:23:33
I signed up for a world history class once by justncase2002-11-11 15:00:09
OH! how could I forget last semester! by justncase 2002-11-11 15:15:53
Must have blocked it out.
My "professor" for "C/S DEVELOPMENT PROJECT" was an idiot in my opinion.

- He would give the groups that were not on the ball breaks but later in the semester when my group needed one he said no "I need to draw the line somewhere".

- He made us invent a new way of drawing up project plans for web based systems and then gave us bad marks when it wasn't to his liking, preferences he never told us.

- We lost points on our progress reports because another group added something that he liked and we didn't.

- The project was supposed to go through the design class first but it hadn't so we had to do two semesters of work in one!

- This guy was the king of scope creep! He actually suggested to the "customer" things that would be cool!

- He told us to use Cold Fusion to program the system. Then the CF server was always down. When we complained about it he told us "well rewrite it in ASP then". So then all we had to worry about was the other classes crashing the web server each night.

Our project? a system for reporting problems with computer equipment! Something readily available on the net. The "customer" was the head of the CIS department and was teaching the daytime section of the same class.

We didn't have enough room on the teacher evaluation forms to say all we wanted about him. One guy in my group brought in a typed up 4 page letter explaining how bad he was.

By the way my group's project is going into production next semester. :)
