Seeing people go free on a technicality surely ought to be a good kick up the ass into doing things properly. It may suck but it's a heck of a lot better than having innocent people framed by cops. Make no mistake, I have no desire to see the guilty go free. I don't however want to see them conviced at the expense of my civil rights, one of which is the right to not be tortured.
