The implication here is that these women were once straight (presumably, since they dated Stef), and the experience was so bad and they were so tainted by it that they decided to become gay so they'd have no danger of dating another Stef.
She's saying that Stef is so bad, he turns women off of all men. It's an extremely narrow focus (all women Stef dated), not quite as broad as you've expanded it to be; and the women in question aren't even the target of her remark.
Granted, if you've heard "So, you're gay? What's wrong, have a bad guy once?" umpteen million times, I could understand being hyper-sensitive to it. I seriously doubt there was any kind of sweeping generalization of all lesbians intended here. |
