"About one-third of homeless males in the United States ... are veterans." "Among males aged 18 and over, one-in-four are civilian veterans." The population at your shelter is apparently more veteran heavy than is the norm in the US population. I don't think our shelter here see many veterans at all. It's a shame there doesn't seem to ba a way to help them other then food and shelter.
