This has become an annoyance for me and I wonder if anyone else has the same problem, or at least agrees with me.
My office is in a trailer next to the plant. The maintenance man and the plant manager have their desks in this trailer as well. The door to the trailer doesn't shut easily and generally you have to push it forcefully to close it. On a rainy day it is especially difficult.
During the summer, the guys make a point to shut the door. In the winter, they swing it shut as they walk out, but don't bother to make sure it is shut and so it swings back open as they walk away. I realize this when my office gets cold. What really annoys me is that they will SEE the door didn't shut, but not bother to go shut it.
Now today it is unusually warm. The guys have been shutting the door properly, whereas last Friday they didn't care (when it was cold outside). Why should the warm weather affect their attitude about the door? It is as if they don't mind letting the heater run while the door is open, but they feel guilty if the door is left open while the air conditioning of running.
I waste a lot of time each day having to get up and shut the door after these morons. |
