can you automate it in a macro though ... I would guess you can ...

I just chose to do the text manipulation I listed above (somewhere) and then I can paste the data into a worksheet, run a macro to get the stupid merged cells gone, and the header / footer info gone, get the names correct without the rank numbers, get the ranks correct, and sorted by the names.. then I just paste the values from the "data entry" tab into the formulas tab and copy the formulas tab to a new tab for the specific date ... then I can use pivot tables to report on the data ...
