A question on debates ... by plblark2006-11-19 12:55:59

is because the morons who get into debates (politicians mostly) don't have a clue about the wide variety of topics they are expected to debate on. The people who would be excellent at extemporanous speaking on a topic are the ones most informed of that topic. Most of those people are geeks of that topic and not in the least bit politically appealing. Stupid electorate would rather have some normal-looking twerp without a brain in his/her head running the show instead of a geeky person with lots of intelligence but a lack of sartorial style.

Political debates in this country are nothing more than a dog and pony show. It's not as if the participants know their subjects. They only know what they've been briefed on for the week leading up to the debate and most of the jerkweeds will forget all they learn because that stuff isn't important to remember because it wasn't important enough to learn in the first place.

NOW I'M TICKED OFF AT THEM AGAIN! Throw all of the bums out of office.
