ifconfig & multiple IPs... by myke 2002-11-11 06:41:25
(and yes, I've read the man pages)

I can't figure out how to bind multiple IPs to interfaces in Linux! (2.2 or 2.4)

This applies to real interfaces (ethX) and virtuals (pppX).

ifconfig eth0:0 works, but
ifconfig eth0:1 doesn't.

What gives? Aliases?
