Lest we ever forget. by Rogerb0rg2002-11-11 02:52:05
  Amen by WaveyDavey 2002-11-11 03:34:01
I always wear my poppy. My daughter is in the Brownie Guides, and every year they celebrate Remembrance Sunday at the local Cenotaph.
This year it was my duty to attend with her, and it is still moving.
I hope as an adult she remembers and encourages her children to do the same.
My grandparents had a 'safe' WWII - Grandad 1 was a railway fireman, so based at home. Grandad 2 was RAF and was posted to Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) I think, and never saw action. Many were less fortunate.
All my children will be educated on what was given and why we have a duty to remember.
D.
