I spent one semester at Highland Secondary School in Comox, BC, in 1979 I think (Sep-Dec).
So, I'm in my physics class which is being taught by a non-physics teacher. I've been there a few weeks and things are going mediocre in this class. One day we're working on problems in class. I'm unsure as to what a certain question is really asking, so I wait my turn to speak to the teacher. The person in front of me asks something totally stupid (duh, I don't have a clue, duh). He gives a full, detailed (as best he could) answer. I ask my question (does this mean <this> or <that>). Figure it out yourself.
That's it. I figured if this nitwit couldn't be bothered with the class, neither could I, so I stopped going to that class. The school finally called me sister in the second week of December to tell her I was cutting class. I ended up getting 9% in the course ;-)
Unfortunately, I was on my way back home to Ontario for the next semester :-)
(BTW: I ended up getting low 80's when I retook the course in Ontario. Go figure) |
