HTML Editor question by gaygeek2002-11-04 14:45:31
  Honestly? by Ravenlock 2006-11-19 12:55:59
The best freeware HTML editor I've ever used was called 1st Page 2000, from a company named Evrsoft.

It's a text editor, but it comes with the full HTML reference, lots of helpful buttons, and it auto-formats the tricky things like tables without screwing it up most of the time. ;) Seriously, I learned HTML by using it to the point where I didn't need it anymore.

Sadly, they've been promising to release version 3 for ages, and I don't know if they ever will. In the meantime I'm using Editplus, mentioned above. But version 2 of the program is probably still well worth a download (free) for the educational value.
