No matter what gui your in on X under mandrake bring up the menu. In the defualt gui this is the K widget(like the start button in windows). You will see "configuration" on the list click that then click "Mandrake Control Center." You will need to be root. Then type in the root pwd. Then select hardware, then mouse, then generic wheel mouse. Then test it then ok then quit... viola your wheel mouse should work. Mine does anyhoo<shrug> That aside if your running the NT file system vs vfat you can't write to it only read from it. I'm not sure but I think a similar problem exists between vfat and the nt native file system. So when I stuck 2k on here I used vfat so I could read and write to disk from linux.
