HTML Editor question by gaygeek2002-11-04 14:45:31
  I have a (similar) request by Buffy_Fett 2002-11-04 17:02:42
I would like a very simple program, also preferably freeware, for doing HTML. I don't want a WYSISYG because I hate what Frontpage does to the code (as I've had to go in and remove all M$ crap when editing the web page, I cut the size of the code prolly 60% and the page looked identical),

I've seen them in use before, where you actually code in HTML the program simply helps with the opening/closing tags and such, it color-codes things so that they're easy to read.

Has anyone had any personal experience with one of these types of programs and could recommend one? I found a couple on download.com but I wanted a referral from here if I could.

And I think this is what gaygeek is looking for also, something to help him with the code not replace it.

Thanks a lot all!
