When did "No" become an invalid answer? by Linfalgamo2002-11-04 09:16:55
  I was told by a professional telemarketer by webishop 2002-11-04 11:38:16
(at a social occasion) that many telemarketers are instructed to not listen to "NO." The only "no" they are able to accept is a hang up. That's because we are taught at a very early age that hanging up on someone is extremely rude and that we should never do that.

But since telemarketers really aren't human when at work, and are the epitome of rude, it's OK to hang up on them. Just do it-- don't even bother to tell them "NO."

And MOST IMPORTANTLY: don't feel guilty when you do it.
