playing the same three tone sound that the phone co plays if you dial a number not in use.

The tm computer hears it, and drops your number, thinking that your number isn't valid.

You can record it on your answering machine for free.

The problem with this is that once enough people get these devices, telemarketers will start ignoring the tone and check for other indicators, or the phone company will switch to a different not-in-use sound.

I like my current solution the best. A home phone switch.
