It has to be a Monday by stargirl2002-11-04 09:57:01
My bad day started on friday by andycap14 2002-11-04 10:17:05
A file with a years worth of data was overwritten with a garbage file. After looking for backups that for some reason were not there, I called for a backup off the server. Little did I know, the server was not being backed up, the tape was overwitten each night (My file was already corrupted by the time the backup took place).

The manager of the group, that uses the file, thinks its my fault even though I wasn't in the office when the overwrite took place. And now he wants a new tool created so that he can finish an unrelated project that I have nothing to do with.

Later in the afternoon I recieve a list of items to be finished before tuesday (start of vacation). The list alone should take me about a week to finish.

Phone call after phone call of lusers who don't know thier name from thier ID and can't folow directions.

Ontop of all that, its now monday, and the begining of a new month. Monthly reporting is due, which also usually takes a week to gather info from the sites across the US.

So now....I have two days to complete 2 weeks worth of tasks and I'm running out of candy to snack on.
