A market research firm for awhile, and I'm sure different companies have different systems. This is was one of the more prominent firms, and one that you'd hear quoted for surveys now and then.
Anyways, the system they had there was you'd sit in front of a terminal, log in, then it would bring up a case and dial. The person was always connected, like if using a regular phone system, then would key in "no answer, call back later, talked to" or whatever into the computer, if no answer was keyed then the person would be called again later.
So that method wouldn't work since the person would hear you, or you'd be marked for follow up which would mean more annoying calls :)
Oh and just so everyone knows, if someone calls you with a survey, the quickest way to get rid of them is to say "I work for a market reaserch firm" they will not be able to ask you questions, and will strike your number from the records.
Oh and just so everyone knows, I was not one of the people calling you up and bugging you, I did data entry, but I got to know the rules. |
