  here's my origin for my anti telemarketer stance by sketcher 2002-11-04 09:37:39
i think it was the summer of 97, my grandpa was dying
i was right there as he tried to breathe
the cancer has turned his lungs into basically thick soup
as we are watching him leave, the phone rings and one of my aunts picks it up, its a telemarketer- trying to get walter shell (my grandpa) to switch to (hmm... to keep it anonymous, lets use "zg&g") zg&g so that he could save a few cents per call
needles to say, my aunt was a little angry, and told the guy that she needed to go because walter shell was dying and she didnt have time for this call, she hung up
less than a minute later the guy calls back
its the same guy, offering the same deal, my aunt- the same aunt as before, got the phone, in tears from whats going on
the guy ignores her crying and goes on to tell her about how cost effective it would be to switch to zg&g from sprint- err, lets call it "x;fk g"
and she stars yelling at the guy to leave her alone so that she can be with her dad when he dies
the guy starts explaining about how he has to meet quotas and his boss told him that en excuse isnt an excuse and calling them back is mandatory, blah blah blah blah

so anyways, my grandpa still died, but it was made a more horrible event due to this damn telemarketer
