Needink network help by Kickstart 2002-11-02 17:37:30
I just picked up a SMC Barricade 7004VBR router for my home network, since I should really be behind something when I boot to Winblows to play games, and I want to share my connection with j.butterfly is here.

The problem is that my website(s) are not inaccessible by domain name or external IP address now.

The things I know:
- the IP address has not changed
- httpd is running and is accessible via http://127.0.0.1 or http://192.168.2.100 (my workstations IP address)
- This all worked before when I was connected to a standard non-firewall hub
- I can access the internet fine, including things like ICQ or Yahoo Messenger (under linux and Windows)

In the SMC config utility, I have done the following:
- Under Address Mapping, I've mapped my external IP address to my internal address
- Under Virtual Server, I've port-forwarded ports 80 and 22 from the external address to the internal address
- I've disabled the firewall feature to make sure it wasn't blocking anything

In httpd.conf
- I've set up all my virtual servers to use 192.168.2.100 instead of my external IP address (tried it both ways, same results)

The person who solves this for me gets something damned cool in snail mail.

Thanks!

Kickstart
