...it's men who don't have the responsibilty. Women have responsibility for offspring and households and jobs and organizations. Men find such creative ways to avoid responsibility, it boggles the mind. They become corporate structures to avoid risking their own capital and reputations. They form governments to acquire power without responsibility. If anything is bad about a law or a product, blame the amorphous "government" or the "company". It's not Mr. CEO's fault. In the corporate world, men decide what happens but the women are expected to make it happen. "I'll send you a detailed memo about that right now," says Mr. CEO, then rings off and tells his secretary to get to work on it. In some countries, women have NO POWER at all. They are the property of their men.
Adjusting for global differences, women, who account for 50% of the population, have less than 10% of the power. That's some pretty ugly math if you ask me. |
