Vacation Destinations by nimdokk 2002-11-01 15:40:56
OK, I haven't had a vacation in over a year now (not counting weekend trips, holidays, family emergencies, and business trips) My last vacation was to Austin, TX to visit friends from high school/college. The weather around here (oddly enough) is starting to get to me, as is the flat boring landscape. I'm considering a trip to someplace a trifle more exotic than the cattle exhibit at the Iowa State Fair. My destination is someplace I've wanted to visit for quite a few years (since I first read about it): Belize. Tiny little subtropical country in Central America, close to the heart of the ancient Mayan empire and some incredible beaches as well as jungle. I figure I won't be able to get there for a while yet (going to save up the money but it is fairly affordable actually).

So, if you could go anywhere you wanted, where would you go for a vacation?
