Granted, this comes from a 5-pin bowler (yes, we only have five pins here. We think it makes it more challenging when you don't have all those pins knocking each other down. Also, the balls are MUCH smaller!). But we call each shot that you describe a 'ball'. It also can be called a 'shot', but IIRC the proper term is a 'ball'. And the best results always come from more accuracy, less power. Get the accuracy first, then work on developing power.
