How did your neighborhood survive? by MikeCDN2002-11-01 09:14:06

Actually, Halloween can be quite a hoot.

Things I like:
- the kids getting to *be* kids for a while
- carving pumpkins: hey, I get to have fun too! The best one I've seen was at work about 6 years ago... pumpkin was opened up, cleaned out, and a rectangle was cut in the front, into which a piece of plexiglass was inserted. Add some aqarium rock, a 'bubbler', some plants, and a couple of goldfish. Cool!
- the costumes: some kids get really into them, and they just look so darn cute!
- the candy: as I mentioned, we had maybe 15 kids. 3 or 4 fun-size treats each, then that leaves a couple hundred left overs. Who should eat those? Hmmmmmmmm :-)

Things I don't like: the people who take the night as an excuse for vandalism. The fireworks.

Pop over to the Silver Wyvern to listen to our headliner for today, Billie Holiday
