This is the closest image I could find: clicky - not quite right; the bag my friend (and, interestingly, teacher) had contained a mixture of shapes, like stars, and some of them were coated in white chocolate. If you do a Google search for Pfeffernüsse you'll get several recipies...in the ones I've tried the cinnamon was the dominant flavouring.
