  The Gotha 229 was build in 1944 by aquacooler 2002-10-20 13:48:59
It had a "wings only" design, two turbines in the wings, wooden framework to escape radar (and to save precious metals) and reached about 800 Km/h. I know that a modern Stealthplane has nothing to do with these specs, but why did it take the aviation industrie so long to integrate the german technology already present at the end of WW2? It worked much, much faster with rockets, at least after the launch of Sputnik, but aeroplanes make more profits, one should think...
