I don't remember hearing of any problems with ibuprofen, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. I know there are problems with acetominephen(sp?)/Tylenol. A hot wash cloth against the cleft right below your ear can help with headaches too, especially if they're caused by congestion. Hope you feel better soon.
