The one thing I really hate is how we keep hearing about how all of us 'young punks' are the cause of so many accidents. While I do admit that young drivers are a higher risk due to lack of experience, I'm tired of how people make it sound as if we are the ONLY cause of accidents.
What about all the old drivers who shouldn't be on the roads anymore? Such as the 77 year old guy who hit me?
I was driving down the road (doing the speed limit give or take a couple kph), approaching an intersection. Mid day, beautiful road/weather conditions. The guy in his pickup truck had a two-way stop, and I had no stop/yield signs. He stopped, and then as I was nearing the intersection, he started to drive anyways. If I didn't try to evade, he woulda hit my door. As it stands, he hit my back driver's door.
99 Dodge Dakota pickup (him) -vs- 02 Saturn 4-door (me) = $1995 in damage to my car alone.
