also (and note though I'm a ex smoker/non smoker I don't dislike smokers...) that a fair bit of accidents may be caused by smoking. No not the person actually smoking so much as problems that occur around it. Dropped ciggarets and like.(I know of two diffrent people that had accidents for that same reason and my mom nearly smacked up too as well as my sister for the same reason) Also spilt drinks if people drive with stuff between their legs or crummy cup holders.(though once a cop got mad at my roommate for eating onion rings saying it was a distraction while driving... I found that went a bit far<shrug> and it wasn't like him eating a burger, etc) But cops can warn and fine for you consuming things while driving. And can cite a large variety of things contributing to an accident in the form of undue care and attention.
